DESCRIPTION:Sophie Benini Pietromarchi is a Franco-Italian artist\, author 
 and illustrator of children’s books. She grew up in Paris and obtained a
  degree in graphic design and a BA and MA degree in literature at the Univ
 ersity of Florence with a thesis on Charles Perrault’s Fables. \nSophie 
 has conducted workshops at international festivals and in various venues s
 uch as schools\, public libraries and museums. Some of her work as an illu
 strator includes collaborations with best-selling authors Azar Nafisi\, au
 thor of Reading Lolita in Teheran and Frank McCourt. Sophie’s books have
  been published in France\, Spain\, Italy\, Portugal\, Israel\, Switzerlan
 d\, India and China. In India\, the multi-award winning publisher Tara Boo
 ks has published her works The Book Book and The Colour Book.
