 Mauritian musical project draws inspiration from the cultural diversity of
  Mauritius\, incorporating elements of traditional Mauritian music as well
  as sounds from the Indian Ocean and beyond. which today includes five ver
 satile musicians: Sarasvati Mallac\, Anthony Bouic\, Kan Chan Kin\, Cledy 
 François and Stephan Paul.\n\n”Patyatann” is a composite word in Maur
 itian Creole\, which means: It was not expected. This word was chosen beca
 use it chronicles the extraordinary journey of the band and its singular m
 usical style. Patyatann’s repertoire is built upon the cultural diversit
 y of Mauritius by incorporating elements of traditional Mauritian music\, 
 but also sonorities from the Indian Ocean and beyond. The band brings toge
 ther elements of Indian\, Chinese\, European and African music\, which are
