  concert promises an evening of soul-stirring music\, inspired by the rich
  traditions of Romani folk melodies and the passionate rhythms of Eastern 
 Europe.\nLed by a talented ensemble of musicians\, including virtuoso viol
 inists and accompanists\, Violon Tzigane transports audiences on a musical
  journey through the heartlands of Eastern Europe. From the fiery dances o
 f Hungary to the melancholic laments of Romania\, each piece in the progra
 m is infused with the unmistakable spirit of the Romani people.\nDate: 14t

 olin Ensemble of Cannes was created in 1989 by Jean-Jacques CALVI\, a prof
 essor at the Cannes Departmental Conservatory (C.R.D)\, with the approval 
 of Philippe BENDER\, who was then the Director of this institution and per
 manent conductor of the P.A.C.A Orchestra. Among other things\, it allows 
 young musicians to practice a different kind of music\, one of oral\ntradi
 tion\, spontaneous creation\, and improvisation.\n\nThroughout their trave
 ls\, the Tziganes have borrowed music from the countries they've crossed. 
 The violinists\, prodigious virtuosos\, interpret these themes with the wi
 ld soul of freedom. Horas\, sirbas\, csardas\, the singing of birds\, as w
 ell as the great classics\, are true invitations to celebration. Thanks to
  the Tzigane Violin Association\, this Ensemble has confirmed its talent t
 wice in Budapest at the Kulturalis Talentum Forum: one of the last places 
 where this oral tradition music is perpetuated\; then in New Delhi\, with 
 the Artists from Rajasthan\, where the Tziganes originate\, and recently i
 n Madrid\, Canada\, and Washington.
