 ontemporary artist Thomas Henriot\, as part of the French-Indian Year of I
 nnovation 2026.\nInspired by Indian palaces and architectural heritage\, P
 alais d’Or (Palace of Gold) explores the dynamic space where art meets i
 nnovation. The exhibition brings together drawings created in India and la
 ter transformed in France into monumental tapestries using an advanced Jac
 quard weaving technique developed by Les Soieries Brochier.\nTracing a jou
 rney of ideas\, materials\, and craftsmanship across geographies\, the exh
 ibition reflects a meaningful circular exchange: conceived in India\, deve
 loped in France\, and presented again in India. Rooted in a long-standing 
 cultural dialogue between the two countries\, Palais d’Or highlights inn
 ovation not as a rupture from tradition\, but as its continuation and tran
 sformation through contemporary processes.\nPresented at Alliance Françai
 se de Delhi\, the exhibition reinforces the institution’s role as a cult
 ural bridge—connecting artistic practices\, textile heritage\, and techn

 rançaise de Delhi\n\nAbout the Artist\nThomas Henriot is a French contemp
 orary artist known for his fluid\, calligraphic ink drawings created on lo
 ng rolls of paper. Often working outdoors in urban environments\, Henriot 
 draws directly from life\, blurring the boundaries between drawing and per
 formance.\nDeeply nomadic in spirit\, his practice spans France\, Cuba\, a
 nd beyond\, capturing the political\, architectural\, and emotional rhythm
 s of the cities he inhabits. His works have been exhibited at major intern
 ational institutions\, including Centre Pompidou and Maison Européenne de
  la Photographie\, and are held in prestigious public and private collecti
 ons worldwide.\nFor Palais d’Or\, Henriot presents new high-tech gold-th
 read works produced in collaboration with Soieries Brochier (Villeurbanne)
 \, an atelier continuing Lyon’s silk-weaving tradition dating back to th
 e 16th century. These innovative tapestries reinterpret historic craftsman
 ship through cutting-edge textile technology\, offering an immersive artis
