‘Nightmares I Cannot Explain (NICE) Part One: It and the Other’ is an experimental film that works on an intellectual engagement of concepts created by French thinker Gilles Deleuze. The film tries to locate the mutations of these concepts as they are taking place in the present age of technological innovation and new media that affects both cinema and the human subject.A talk given by Soumyabrata Choudhury, Associate Professor, JNU on Deleuze, cinema and the present age will be followed by the screening of the film. A post screening QnA will feature the filmmakers, Sourodeep Dey (Writer/Director), Simran Sidhu (Cinematographer/Editor), Vaibhav Batra (Music Composer) and Professor Soumyabrata Choudhury.
