“But let there be spaces in your togetherness and
Let the winds of heaven dance between you
Love one another, but make not a bond of love
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls”
Kahlil Gibran
These lines though I have read many a times since I was a teenager. This series of my works reflects these lines. In my works here & there surfaces a gentle breezy nostalgia rendered subtly through flowing rivers, which travels through anonymous and distinctive paths, old letters, a compass, showing directions, a grandfather clocks ticking off days, hours, months, with an annoying regularity that folds up much loved times in its all embracing-grasp, architectural heritage ruins, symbolizing our fast fading culture, a sailing boat, representing journey, abundance & prosperity.
I grope my way in through the musty cobwebs of time. Another recurrent motif is birds, narrating the tale of time…
