A Two-Day Festival on Global Citizenship & Artificial Intelligence in Education
Date: 8th & 9th November | Venue: Alliance Française de Delhi campus
RISE or Re-Imagining School Education is a theme based, annual Thought Exchange Festival on Aligning School Education with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN. After focusing on Neurosciences last year, in this edition we will emphasize on Artificial Intelligence and its role with Global Citizenship in Education.
The unique Two-Day festival, curated by Vaishali Gupta, Author and Educationist is a collaborative effort of Alliance Française de Delhi and One Teacher One Scientist, which aims to create a common and popular platform where all key stakeholders in school education can discuss, brainstorm, ideate and share thoughts, ideas and expertise.
The festival will be inaugurated on 8th Nov at 12:15 pm by Mr. Shombi Sharp, UN Resident Coordinator in India, Dr. Thierry Mathou, French Ambassador to India, and Meenakshi Lekhi, Former Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture of India in the esteemed presence of various dignitaries.
The main focus of the festival is an amalgamation of ideas and awareness to foster a growth mindset, innovation and creativity in children.
Over a span of two days, during RISE 2024, there will be a rich exchange and exploration of ideas around the various aspects and impact of AI in Education

Prominent Speakers and Partners:
The festival will feature a prestigious lineup of speakers, including Cyber Security Expert Rakshit Tandon along with partners such as Airbus, École Intuit Lab, Amway, INTACH, and Microsoft.
Registration Details: To secure a spot at RISE 2024, participants must register early as spaces are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Event Highlights:
Talks and Panel Discussions: Expert educators and thought leaders will address AI’s growing role in education, alongside SDG themes like inclusivity, cyber security, and innovation in the classroom.
- Talk on Careers Ethics and Plagiarism in an AI world by Vanita vasudeva ( Program consultant at FITT-IIT D )
- Panel Discussion on Bridging the digital divide in education moderated by Vaishali Gupta
- Talk on Importance of Nutrition for overall health and well being by Amway
- Panel Discussion on Inclusivity and Child safety in Schools moderated by Dr Mala Bhandari
- Talk on Cyber Safety and Security/ Cyber Hygiene in Social Media by the renowned expert Rakshit Tandon
Experiential Learning and Workshops
For Children: A dynamic range of activities including photography walks, storytelling, hands-on robotics, AR/VR exhibitions, coding, and 3D printing. These workshops are designed to promote critical thinking and holistic development.
For Teachers: Practical sessions on AI in global education, 21st-century pedagogies, and effective classroom implementation.
For Young Adults: These sessions will cover important topics such as nutrition, wellness, safety, gender equality, and inclusivity, all with a focus on fostering global citizenship.

Competitions for children: Inter-School Treasure Hunt based on SDG, Poster Making Competition, NGO’s Got Talent – A talent show for children from NGOs.
Additional Activities:
- Model United Nations (MUN) in French by Alliance Française students
- Film Screenings based on the theme of AI by Aravali International Film Festival
On 10th November, The Design Village Noida, Alliance Française de Delhi Extension will host a special workshop – Understanding CAD with 3D printing from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm for teenagers and young adults
Musical Highlights:
7th November – Piano Concert by French pianist Kim Babier
9th November – Music Concert by Kimya Ensemble
Visitors can participate in a range of simultaneous events and workshops based on their interests, making RISE 2024 an engaging platform for students, teachers, and parents alike.
All participants—including teachers, parents, and children—will receive certificates that can be used for professional development. Additionally, prizes will be awarded for competitions such as the SDG Treasure Hunt, Poster Making, NGO’s Got Talent, and MUN.
