In the small?house of the?association?Ti-Tomm, attached to the?wall of?the men’s prison?in Rennes, life revolves around the visiting room.?Families?arrive in advance, always. ?A delay of a few?seconds, and the?prison door?will remain closed.?They have just?one, two, three?times a week?every week?for months?or even years.?Visitors are?mostly women;?these Pénélopes of modern days?live?to the rhythm of?their man?in the shade.?For them, time is suspended.?The arbitrariness?of the prison?transfers and prohibitions are?their daily routine.?By choosing?to remain?aside of the prison?–?by the families’ side?–?this documentary offers?paradoxically?approach?eminently?front?of?what reality means?in prison.? A life?without the beloved one, but a life which must go on though.
