DanSe Dialogues is the first Indo-French contemporary dance festival organised by the French Embassy in India in collaboration with Alliance Française de Delhi and Delhi International Art Festival. It will take place from November 2nd to 8th.
This Indo-French dance festival aims at strengthening the artistic cooperation between the two countries in the field of contemporary dance by promoting French and Indian contemporary dance in India, creating interest for alternative dance practices and participating in the development of contemporary dance in India, fostering exchanges and meetings between French and Indian professionals and encouraging Indo-French projects.

DanSe dialogues will feature:
« Pichet klunchun and myself » by Jérôme Bel
This show is a dialogue between a traditional Thaï dancer, specialized in performing the Ramayana epic, and a contemporary performer. It is a theatrical and choreographic living documentary in which both characters try to bridge the gap between Western contemporary dance and Asian traditional practices.

Video Screenings
Various French choreographic pieces will be presented for the public to discover a broader panorama of the contemporary dance scene in France. The innovative and avant-garde works of choreographers such as Maguy Marin, Rachid Ouramdane, Philippe Découflé, Josef Nadj or Mourad Merzouki will be screened.
