Paani Ki Kahaani: Nila Pahad – A Musical Journey for World Water Day
This World Water Day, Alliance Française Jaipur, in collaboration with the Embassy of France in India, Alliance Française de Delhi and the Institut français en Inde, brings together artists, creators, thinkers, and musicians for Paani Ki Kahaani: Innovative Perspectives on India’s Water Heritage and Climate Resilience.
As part of this special programme, we are delighted to present Nila Pahad, a unique musical collective featuring artists from across the country. Rooted in diverse traditions yet united by a shared vision, Nila Pahad creates an evocative soundscape that reflects both the intimacy of home and the pulse of contemporary life.
Through folk songs and original compositions in multiple regional dialects, the performance celebrates India’s rich natural water heritage while also addressing critical issues such as access, equity, and climate resilience. Drawing from musical traditions of Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Assam, Punjab, and Rajasthan, the concert invites audiences on a soulful journey—exploring our deep and evolving relationship with water.
