Les Guerre de Mon Père

Les Guerre de Mon  Pre

Written by Colombe Schneck

Beautifully written. Through the moving reconstruction of her father’s life, the author adds a major historical dimension to the story of a community tossed about and hunted down. Coming from countries that no longer exist, through Vichy France and the Algerian war. How to survive in spite of everything. A very fine portrait of this man with an incredible life. Well done.

Le Monstre des Couleurs va à L’école

Le Monstre des Couleurs  va à L’école

Written by Anna Llenas and Translated by Lucile Gaillot

A new album by Anna Llenas presents the first day of school and, thanks to the Color Monster, visualizes the multiple emotions felt by children.A new adventure by the Color Monster that will delight fans of The Color of Emotions!

The Color Monster is a little worried. Today, he’s going to school for the first time… and he has no idea what’s going to happen to him! As excited as he is scared, he feels overwhelmed by a mixture of emotions. Fortunately, his friend the little girl is there to reassure and guide him. Little by little, he gets to know his classmates, listens to a good story told by the teacher, enjoys the canteen, and has fun in painting class. School’s not so bad after all… Shall we go back tomorrow?

Appropriate for the 4+ years old and Beginner Level French learners of all Age.

La Vie Clandestine

La Vie Clandestine

Written by Monica Sabolo

Between Milan, Switzerland and France, a novel in the form of an investigation that interweaves the blind spots of a family history and that of the terrorist and revolutionary group Action Direct with disconcerting intelligence and unprecedented sensitivity.

Two stories that respond to each other, two stories stirred by the troubled waters of memory, woven of invisible links, gaps to be filled, silences and violence.

So many elusive shadows, silhouettes like a sandcastle to be rebuilt. Searching the improbable for answers, echoes and unanswered questions.

It’s the late-70s Italy of the Red Brigades, the bloody soundtrack to the ideals of an era, 80s France, intimacies cracked and uncovered.

It’s fascinating, intriguing.

Go West Young Man

Go West Young Man

Written by Tibource

A graphic novel for Adults.

At last, an original scenario for a Western comic. A daring gamble that has been brilliantly accomplished, “Go West” is the fruit of a dozen different illustrators, always following the same theme throughout the conquest of the West. A varied palette, I think, to suit all tastes. Between tradition and modernity, genre codes and historical reality, we move from one story to another with the click of a watch that has traveled so far. A real favorite!

Notre Dame de Paris

A comprehensive study of Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris from an historic, artistic and technical perspective.

Two perfect towers, a sublime kings’ gallery, slender vaults held up by a lacework of stone, a startling series of chapels, Notre-Dame remains France’s most emblematic monument and a paragon of gothic art. It is a cathedral whose universal presence touched millions of people at the time of the terrible fire of 15 April 2019.

Oh Un monstre!

Oh Un monstre!

By Valérie Weishar-Giuliani (Auteur), Soufie Régani (Illustrations)

This story is aimed at MS or GS children (in between the 4-6 years of age). It denounces the scourge of deforestation. The point of view adopted is that of forest animals trying to defend nature. The plot develops with humor and inventiveness: a fine invitation to become aware of the consequences of disrespecting forests!
