Join us for the Special Screening of English feature film ‘Life flows on’ directed by Vishaal Nityanand followed by panel discussion on “ Brain Health Dialogue : Arts, Academia & Civil Society.”
The factual portrayal of a brain health or mental health issue in a film can be an instrument of change that can work against social stigma in multiple ways. Accurate depiction of those dealing with mental health/brain health challenges help dispel some of the fears and misconceptions perpetuated throughout our society. A fine cinematic expression can become the intersection between starting the conversation and creating response systems. Life flows on is a humble attempt in that direction. It’s a dedicated film on the global dementia challenge, ageing and caregivers mental health concerns. A film could be associated with many attributes and statures given in popular cultural. Since it’s theatrical release it has been an instrument and part of many sincere dialogues around Dementia Care, Brain Health, Mental Health, Ageing and Care giving aspects at various prestigious platforms, academia and civil society forums. This event is another humble effort in that continuity.
