Re-Garde
Dance–Theatre Performance | Maxime Freixas & Francesco Colaleo
19 August 2026 | 6:00 PM
Alliance Française de Delhi
First come, first served
About the Performance
Re-Garde explores the act of seeing through an innocent yet lucid gaze—one that observes the world with irony, curiosity and wonder. Inspired by the unconditioned perspective of a child, the performance embraces the freedom to look, question and affirm.
On stage, two men become reflections of one another, confronting their own projections. They are ready to endure or embrace, give or surrender, manipulate or be manipulated, provoke or be abandoned. Their bodies remain controlled and attentive, while moments of vulnerability, release and breath create a delicate balance between strength and fragility.
Set within an imagined and intriguingly dark landscape, Re-Garde offers a deeply human and sensuous vision of contemporary life. Through movement and poetry, the performance blurs the boundaries between youth and old age, reality and imagination, strength and vulnerability.
