A Two-Day Festival on Global Citizenship & Artificial Intelligence in Education

RISE or Re-Imagining School Education is a theme based, annual Thought Exchange Festival on Aligning School Education with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN. After focusing on Neurosciences last year, in this edition we will emphasize on Artificial Intelligence and its role with Global Citizenship in Education.
The unique Two-Day festival, curated by Vaishali Gupta, Author and Educationist is a collaborative effort of Alliance Française de Delhi and One Teacher One Scientist, which aims to create a common and popular platform where all key stakeholders in school education can discuss, brainstorm, ideate and share thoughts, ideas and expertise.
The main focus of the festival is an amalgamation of ideas and awareness to foster a growth mindset, innovation and creativity in children.
Over a span of two days, during RISE 2024, there will be a rich exchange and exploration of ideas around the various aspects and impact of AI in Education and other ideas through:
- Panel discussions with senior stakeholders in the education world around different themes of the SDGs in schools.
- Experiential workshops for children like photography walks, story-telling, hands on robotics and drone functioning workshops, Augmented Reality and Virtual Realty exhibitions, Cyber Safety awareness, anti-plagiarism, etc. These workshops will help children grow with a holistic and inclusive approach.
- Hands on workshops for teachers to make them aware of newer approaches, including AI being used in different parts of the world to get hands on tips on 21st century pedagogies and their effective implementation in classrooms.
- Workshops for young adults to raise awareness upon various aspects of growth, including nutrition, wellness, safety, gender equality and inclusivity to inculcate Global Citizenship.
Some of the themes of experiential workshops and panel discussions include but are not limited to Global Citizenship in an AI world: Cyber Health and Security, the role of Arts in a virtual world, experiencing AR & VR, exploring 3D Printing, coding and drone making, Inclusivity and Gender sensitivity in classrooms and outside.
The festival is aimed to serve as a common platform for all stakeholders involved in a child’s growth and development to ideate, brainstorm, share and innovate. We will also have competitions for children and chances to win exciting prizes
