Alliance Française de Delhi presents “Scripted Dialogues – A Calligraphic Conversation”, a unique exhibition that bridges the worlds of Indian and French cultures through the elegance of calligraphy.
Curated by Padmaja Srivastava, this exhibition showcases a captivating series of calligraphic paintings that reflect the interwoven narratives of French influence and Indian tradition. Drawing inspiration from French architecture, music, poetry, art, gastronomy, and literature, the artworks creatively merge these elements with scripts from Indian regional languages such as Kannada, Gurmukhi, Punjabi, Devanagari (Hindi & Marathi), Tamil, Urdu, and Bengali.
The result is a visual symphony—each piece a dialogue in script, celebrating the shared artistic and cultural resonance between India and France.
Come experience how scripts become stories, and letters become links between cultures.
