L’EXPÉRIENCE DE SES FANTÔMES / THE SOUND OF THE GHOSTS BY YASMINE MAHJOUBI AND NEELANSH MITTRA

Synopsis: The sound documentary follows Eva, a Spanish tour guide living in Paris for the past 7 years. Eva conducts the ‘Mysteries and Legends Tour’, every week in the heart of the city in Île Saint-Louis. The tour traces the dark history of Paris, where she introduces her audience to the violence that consumed the city in the Middle Ages. Through Eva’s undying passion for discovery, the piece invites the listener to see beyond what is mostly known of Paris today; asking them to patiently observe the city, and listen deeply to the sound of its ghosts.

‘Nuisibles’ by Ka-Young Park and Dimitris Roidis

Synopsis:  In the piece, two universes are connected in a bizarre way: a vermin exterminator based in Paris, and stories of the oppressed youth. After a police union’s public statement on 30th July, these two universes suddenly intersect. Since then, all muted voices start to burst out.

‘Exiles’ by Konstantin Troitskiy

The audio documentary project « Exiles » explores this topic through the fate of a russian couple in love. Sasha is a musician and sound designer, Ira works in an opposition media banned in Russia. They both miss their homes and are trying to build a new life and to find a forgotten ‘sense of home’ here in Paris.
