Alliance Française de Delhi is pleased to announce the Merit-cum-Means AFD Scholarship Scheme – Spring 2026 session, aimed at supporting motivated learners of French in AFD who demonstrate both academic merit and financial need.
About the Scholarship
The Merit-cum-Means Scholarship is designed to encourage deserving AFD students to continue their French language studies at Alliance Française de Delhi by providing partial financial assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Must be enrolled or seeking enrollment in a French language course at Alliance Française de Delhi for the Spring 2026 session
- Should demonstrate academic merit based on previous performance
- Should provide proof of financial need
- Must have a good attendance record and disciplined conduct.
Scholarship Benefits
- The scholarship is valid only for the Spring 2026 session
- Classes: The said scholarship will apply to weekday classes only.
- Number of Scholarships: The number of scholarships awarded under the MCM Scheme shall in no case exceed five per term.
- Fee Waivers: Fee waivers can be in the range of 75% to 100 % on the tuition fee and admission fee, depending on the merits of the case. The fee of the shortlisted student will be reimbursed in case it is paid during the admissions.
- Books: The student will bear the cost of books.
- Library: Basic membership will be included.
Selection Process
- Applications will be reviewed by an internal committee at Alliance Française de Delhi
- Selection will be based on academic performance, financial need, and overall merit
- The decision of Alliance Française de Delhi will be final and binding
How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to:
- Applications must reach latest by Thursday 1st January 2026 before 5 PM (subject to change), along with the prescribed scholarship form (click here to download) with academic merit and financial need justificatory documents (like income certificate/BPL card/ IT return etc. Court affidavit is not accepted).
- Results: Results will be declared on Monday, 5th January 2026 by 5 PM (subjected to change).
