Pardon My French! – Call for Book Lovers

In the coming year, the Pardon My French! programme by the French Institute in India, in collaboration with Alliance Française de Delhi, aims to build a vibrant community of readers who love French literature in English translation.
We know how special these books are—and now we want to bring people together to talk about them, share ideas, and make new friends along the way.
To make this happen, we are looking for enthusiastic book lovers who would like to help lead this initiative or be part of it.
📚 What does the role involve?
Leading conversations around books in general and a Book of the Month
Encouraging readers to participate in discussions
Coordinating a monthly in-person meet-up in Delhi
Creating a welcoming and engaging space for literary exchange
✨ What we offer:
Training and support on how to facilitate book discussions
A free copy of each book selected for discussion
A chance to be part of a national cultural initiative
No prior experience in leading book clubs is required—just a genuine love for books and conversations around them.
📩 Interested in being part of this initiative?
Email us at frenchbookoffice@ifindia.in for more information.
🗓 Applications close on December 31st.
Join us and help grow a community where stories, ideas, and conversations come alive—one book at a time.
