“Trace(s) – it’s about memories. It’s about the past we carry with us everywhere. The kind of past that follows you, even when you don’t want it to. It’s about the past that chases you, or traces you. Because it’s deep inside of you, part of you, with all the good and the bad.

Trace(s) – it’s the path that links you from place to place. Even if you go from central Europe to India via the UK, like a red line, a conductor string, it makes sense of who we are.”

                                                                                                                                             Ioulia Chvetsova

Franco-Russian photographer, Ioulia Chvetsova specializes in travel photography. After completing the Open College of the Arts London distant photography course in 2009, she has lived in Nepal, Tadjikistan and India documenting the traditions, festivals and overall culture she discovered along the way. Recently two of her photos “Holi” and “Monkey” were preselected for the Sony World Photography Awards competition, “15 Photographs that will Open Your Eyes to the Wonders of the World.” You can see her work on her website www.chvetsova.com

                                                                                                                                                 Marie Langlest

French photographer Marie Langlest began photographing at the age of 18 and joined the School of Art in Belgium at that time. After graduation she received a grant to live and work in Budapest as a photographer. She has worked as an artist, a press photographer and in art therapy as a photographer. Her work has been seen in galleries in European exhibitions. Today she photographs everyday life in the countries she crosses or lives in.

For several months, he has been tracing  his way through Old Delhi’s streets.  He did not have an agenda really, only curiosity and a desire to learn. Wandering around in this amazing community and its intense flow of people and space, he is on the lookout for those fleeting visual relationships that create interesting gravitational tension in my viewfinder. Hopefully, if the shutter is clicked at the right time, something interesting and greater than the sum of its parts is created. Even though their meaning may be ambiguous these images are intended to reflect our shared humanity.
