The Annual Design X Design Award honours contributions made by discerning supporters, directly or indirectly, towards the promotion and propagation of Design and the extended cause of design-based
creative communities, with the intent to broaden and deepen the engagement between the community of designers and civil society.
This year’s Design X Design Award 2025 goes to Ms. Jaya Jaitly for the work done by her in guiding the design and marketing at Gurjari, and by contributing to bringing craftspeople in direct contact with urban markets by setting up Dastkari Haat Samiti resulting in the creation of public spaces for craft outreach in many Indian cities. It also acknowledges her passion for taking up causes of the marginalized, especially of the hand skilled.
