AFD Library Membership

We offer three types of AFD Library Membership. All memberships run for one year and are non-refundable. A refundable library deposit of Rs 2,000 applies to all members who wish to borrow books.

Students and Alliance Française Members

Students and members of Alliance Française de Delhi are entitled to a free Classic Membership.

Please note that library membership is not granted automatically when you join Alliance Française de Delhi. New members must visit us in person to register. A refundable deposit of Rs 2,000 is required for borrowing privileges.

External Members (Non-Students)

To register, please bring the following to the library:

• A valid government-issued photo ID with address proof (Aadhaar card, voter’s card, driving licence, passport, or other government-issued identity proof)
• Two recent stamp-size photographs
• Your membership payment, if applicable
• A refundable deposit of Rs 2,000 for borrowing privileges
