There’s something magical about creating things with hands — it’s personal, it has a story to tell and a lot of emotions attached to it.
For French artist Vincent Gagliardi, his linoleum hand engraving art takes him back to his roots and makes him nostalgic about his childhood.
The mixed medium artist will be showing some of his selected work in the city from March 16 and the exhibition will be hosted by Alliance Francaise de Delhi.
Gagliardi works with non-toxic technique, which is similar to block printing but the use of linoleum allows him to obtain unique artistic effect not possible with most woods. Gagliardi uses everyday materials and other mediums in his art and adds poesy, philosophy and humour.
