Aravali Film Festival and Alliance Française de Delhi invite you to a special screening as part of Official Fanzone to celebrate Paris Olympics 2024 – Malaysian film titled “Olympic Dream.”
The film has a runtime of one hour and 38 minutes and is in Chinese/Malay (with English subtitles), directed by Don Hoe.
Ana is a 9-year-old Chinese girl who was adopted by a Malay woman when she was a baby after her parents passed away in an accident. The Malay woman, who is a stall hawker, raised Ana, and despite being poor, they have a loving relationship. Ana dreams of playing badminton, but cannot afford a racket. However, she eventually becomes a national badminton player and manages to qualify for the Olympics. Will she win a gold medal, or will it remain just a dream?
